INDIANAPOLIS – Making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2022, Missouri State earned the No. 16 seed in the Fort Worth Regional 3 and is set to head to Austin to face SFA in the First Four Round on Wednesday, March 18. The winner of the First Four matchup will advance to play No. 1 seed Texas on Friday, March 20. The TV broadcast and tip time will be announced at a later time.
The Lady Bears captured their first Air National Guard CUSA Basketball Championship title with a 43-38 win over No. 1 LA Tech on Saturday night in the final contest of the 2026 CUSA Basketball Championships. Missouri State won the CUSA championship in its first year in the league after beating the top three seeds in the tournament.
Kaemyn Bekemeier was named the tournament MVP after she capped off the week nearly recording a double-double with a game-high 16 points and nine rebounds. She averaged 17.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in three games.
Mo State is +17 on the scoreboard in the first half this season but owns a +140 point differential against its opponents in the second half of games. The Lady Bears have scored 201 more points in the second half of games than the first half this season.
