MIAMI – FIU (21-11) advances to the second round of the WNIT after defeating Stetson (20-12) 76-73 in overtime in the first round at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
 
Rhema Collins came up big with a steal with four seconds left in regulation and drains a clutch three-pointer before time expires to tie the game at 63-63, forcing overtime. Collins finished the contest notching her 14^th double-double of the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds along with four steals and three assists. Parris Atkins and Judit Valero both scored 13 points, while Grecia Ferrer Leal posted 12 points and seven assists.
 
FIU will travel to Abilene, Texas to take on Abilene Christian in the second round on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m. CT.
