FB: Delaware's Reed, Jax State's Oyebadejo Tabbed Second Team Academic All-America

DALLAS – A pair of standout Conference USA football student-athletes – Delaware kicker Nate Reed and Jax State defensive lineman Emmanuel Oyebadejo – were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team, announced by the organization Tuesday. It marks the first time since 2022 that the league earned multiple Academic All-America honorees.

Reed is a graduate student who holds a 3.92 cumulative GPA while majoring in statistics. The kicker made his mark on the record book in 2025, setting the record for kicking points in a game (19), as well as kicking the most touchbacks in program history (101). He went 3-3 on onside kicks this season, helping Delaware become just the fourth team in the last 10 seasons to do so, and the only one to have a 100-percent success rate. He tied a program record of four field goals in two games this season, en route to earning an All-CUSA Second Team laurel.

Oyebadejo started all 14 games in his first year of college football after he completed two years of medical school in the UK before coming to the United States to pursue football. A First-Team All-CUSA honoree, he led the Gamecocks in sacks (4.5) and quarterback hits (six), while adding 6.5 TFL and five pass breakups. Oyedbadejo owns a 3.82 GPA with a major in Pre Professional Biology.
