LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 3 Kennesaw State defeated and eliminated No. 7 NM State with a 10-5 victory on day two of the 2025 CUSA Baseball Championship on Thursday morning from Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium on the campus of Liberty University. The Owls advance and will play of the loser of the WKU and FIU contest at 2 p.m. ET on Friday.
The Kennesaw State offense came to life, including a five-run seventh inning.
Cam Suto went 2-4 with a home run and four RBI. All-Conference member
Donovan Cash broke the 5-5 tie in the seventh with a two-run blast over the right center field wall. Cash finished 2-5 on the day.
Cooper Williams tallied a team-high three hits with a triple and two runs.
Harry Cain was superb out of the bullpen as he hurled 3.2 strong innings of work. The right-hander fanned five Aggie hitters and allowed one earned run on two hits.
NM State’s
Mitch Namie finished 2-3 with two homers and three RBI. The Aggies’ season comes to a close with a 23-33 overall mark.
